On the official forums, it was mentioned that Pixel Gun World isn't coming back which means it's now impossible to even try to run it on the Mac platform. There is a version of Pixel Gun called Pixel Gun 3D on the iPad and iPhone, but that's pretty much it.
If you want to try, you can download the Windows installer from the application's page at Software Informer and then use Wine Bottler to emulate it on the Mac OSX.
I have a Chromebook and want to play Pixel Gun world as I like the mobile port. Is there a way to download it for Chrome OS?

Based on the available information found on the Internet, you can install Pixel Gun World on the following platforms:

As you can see, there is nothing related to Chromebook. All the apps that you can install on the Chromebook are available through the Chrome Extensions Store.
To save you the trouble of searching, I've accessed the Chrome Extensions and looked it up, but it doesn't appear, therefore not compatible.

As far as I know, Pixel Gun World has been officially discontinued which means that you will no longer be able it download to from official sources. Furthermore, its servers have been shut down, so even if you find a source to download the game from, the only way to play it would be to gain access to a private server or create one for yourself.
So, if you found a website that allows you to download the game, make sure that you're not being led to some kind of weird page instead of a legitimate download and use the VirusTotal online service to scan the installer before running it.

You can't transfer progress of the game from a platform to another. It's not possible because they work in a very different way.
I've checked the game and it appears the game is released for Windows and mobile, but they're actually different.
The mobile app can be installed on your PC in an emulator like Bluestacks or NOX App Player (these will simulate Android OS).
The other way around, Windows to Android is not possible.
